PRELIMINARY PROPOSAL

PSIOSPHERE.COM/LLC

PsiOsphere.com is a cyberzone, an image/music/text/virtuality website founded in 1997, as Psiberia.com, by Peace Wilson, with Gary M. Gantney. That site’s contents were archived at PsioSphere.com, when the domain name, Psiberia.com, was sold in 2000.

PsiOsphere.com is presently a virtual gallery of interlocking textual storyworlds, graphics and animations, and music streams. It is linked to other music sites, as its Webmaster, Peace Wilson, is a leading edge troubadour on the cyber frontier. It is also linked to sites favored by original co-founder and frequent graphics contributor, Gary M. Gantney (Gywn Tyger).

The Psiberia Archives portion of PsiOsphere.com was used as curriculum material in New Media Writing classes at Rennsalaer Technical Institute, Troy, NY. Most of the material was written by Peace Wilson.

[Current featured texts are PowerParableScrollz – ultimately interlocking, a multi-format book-in-progress, with the title ScriptureX.]

Thus far, PsiOsphere.com’s influence has been talismanic, underground, esoteric, somewhat like an archival .org.

MISSION STATEMENT

Beginning with a currently available product, Waking, a spiritual alternative rock music CD by Peace Wilson, produced with Mikaleno, it is the mission of PsiOsphere.com [with the advent of LLC status, PsiOsphere Productions is the publishing/new media brick and mortar base] to produce and promote art and entertainment products dedicated to integral psychological development, being mindful that many of the problems that individuals and societies face could be solved through an authentic growth in Consciousness. The works of Jean Gebser and Ken Wilber are central to this consideration. And a techno-shamanic sense is cardinal to its execution.

Upcoming soon will be a literary hypermedia CD-ROM, a film, another music CD, more novels.

As PsioSphere.com grows into a full-fledged new media organization, computer code warriors will be employed in the service of developing new game platforms.

VIRTUAL ORGANIZATION E-BUSINESS MODEL

Right out of the gate, PsiOsphere.com is a production company, functioning as record label and multi-format publisher. It will also feature the new wave of music singles sales, the enhanced mp3 paid song download, of which iTunes is a high-profile example. It may also offer a subscription model, with enhanced hypermedia content, following a thorough site design upgrade.

The Web affords new cost-effective means of outsourcing key aspects of said functions, such as full packaging, promotion, and sales of CDs, books, etc.

The only brick and mortar expense required at the outset is work space, and computer upgrades.

This is basically a 3-5-year plan of return on investment being expedited through CD and book sales, music downloads, subscription services, and more. Emphasis in the all-important first year is maximizing sales of existing products and developing new products and services, as well as drawing advertising with online community development.

Also, PsiOsphere.com can develop conscious creative virtual community, an expanded talent pool, and alliances thereof, mindful of experiences with such websites as soundclick.com, renderosity.com, eastgate.com, integralnaked.org, et al. Free and subscription services can be offered to conscious creatives and their supporters. This is in addition to hypermedia content subscription service for the general cyber public.

It is worth noting that ancillary products such as T-shirts and coffee mugs may be offered in conjunction with CD or book sales, such as an alliance with CafePress.com would provide. A surprisingly significant return on investment can come from such ordinary commerce. [Add audio extracts from ScriptureX, work-in-progress; fortune cookies; tiny scrolls like the astrological ones in the supermarket, w/the PsiOsphere/ScriptureX take on sun signs and daily proverbs –ScriptureX (or PsiOsphere) AstroScrollz; posters].

Although the economic-attention flow dynamic is multilinear, my initial sense of "firing-pattern," flow sequence is:

Website design upgrade, including paid enhanced mp3 download interface; content subscription interface to follow upon further format developments

Search engine placement, banner advertising – cyber-traffic driving techniques

Virtual storefront alliance links, such as to CafePress.com and 1stBooks.com

Interactive online creativity community, developing virtual roster of talent for CD, book, poster, CD-ROM, etc. production and promotion; continuing to develop virtual club website environment

Full live-in studio tools development; performance space link to Web

As a continuous loop.

PSIOSPHERICS

This virtual organization is committed to a full-on integration of mission and marketplace that can only be called curricular. In other words, we are not only capable of producing superior cultural product, but we know how to contextualize it in terms of the living history of Consciousness, and how that affects the socio-economic Zeitgeist. With the pioneering aid of the works of Jean Gebser, along with the works of Ken Wilber, William Irwin Thompson, and William Gibson, we can produce works with a depth of insight into cultural history, psycho-spiritual evolution, and virtual worlds’ mood savvy.

Advertising is the avant-garde of capitalism. Art is the avant-garde of advertising. Spiritual, personal and social integrality is the avant-garde of art.

Since integrality is defined as the greatest depth for the greatest span, the mainstream is redeemed by the cognizant, and vice-versa.

Thus are somewhat arbitrary distinctions between art and commerce and education and spirituality and politics dissolved in singular FLOW.

THE .ORG FACTOR

Like a gas/electric hybrid vehicle, PsiOsphere is registered as both .com and .org.

The traditions of art and religion and scholarship, backbone of culture, have utilized the patronage model, because human beings realize the importance of critiquing, and thus redirecting, socio-economic structures.

Increasingly, the actuality of cultural software determines the fates of future generations. The leading edge of new media is the nature of ambience and action in game platforms. Educational institutions, .edu, are generally the ones with culture under prismatic microscopes. Education means to "draw out." With most video games, kids are "drawn in" at a more visceral, tho’ virtual, level.

Zeitgeist redefinition of cultural platforms looms large, a forward-moving integrality, instead of mythic fallbacks out of fear.

SUMMARY

Peace believes that as a uniquely integral singer-songwriter alone he’s gold, and only needs "mining" funds (promo/production/presentation costs) to make a handsome return. [Being quasi-reclusive for mystic-literary reasons, he prefers to accentuate the virtual and the hi-def/cinematic re performance and presentation spaces. Call it individuative world-making]. All the rest, new media image/music/text/virtuality, blossoms from this bud. The troubadour of knowledge expresses the perennial wisdom in contemporary forms. The business of life is evolution in every way.

ADDENDUM

The leading edge texts of marketing and business consultancy emphasize that the global economy, business culture, and consumer trends are gradually shifting from Information Society profit-margin only, lowest product price emphasis, to an era – The Dream Society – wherein the story behind, or projected by businesses and their products is as important to the consumer as the products and prices themselves.

Thus, storytelling is less confined to book, film, TV shows, etc., and is increasingly the product of every business. Below is an essential reading list, yielding more insight into the story of PsioSphere and its productions.
